Terms of Use

1. About these Terms

1.1 These Terms of Use (Terms) govern your access to and use of the Zeeën website, mobile application, and related services (the Services). By accessing or using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

1.2 The Services are operated by Zeeën Global Pte. Ltd. (UEN 202554703W), a company incorporated in Singapore (we, us, our). Registered office: 61 Robinson Rd, #07-01, Singapore 048547.

1.3 These Terms are read together with our Privacy Policy, Acceptable Use Policy, Community Guidelines, and Trust and Safety Policy.

1.4 App store terms. If you downloaded the app from the Apple App Store, Apple's Standard EULA also applies and prevails over these Terms only to the extent required. If you downloaded from Google Play, the Google Play Terms of Service also apply on the same basis.

2. About Zeeën

2.1 Zeeën is a real-world social discovery service that lets users see profiles of other users who were nearby within a limited time window, based on user settings and consent.

2.2 Zeeën does not provide in-app messaging, does not display live map pins of users, and does not display exact GPS coordinates of users to other users.

3. Eligibility and age

3.1 You must be at least 18 years old to create or hold a Zeeën account. You confirm you are at least 18 when you create an account.

3.2 We do not currently collect a date of birth, and signing in with a third-party account (Apple, Google, or Meta) does not verify your age. We may decline, suspend, or remove an account where we have reason to believe a user is under 18.

4. Account registration and security

4.1 You are responsible for the accuracy of your account, the security of your credentials, and activity under your account. You must not share your account or allow unauthorised access.

4.2 You must give accurate information and keep your profile, including any social handles you display, current and truthful. You must keep at least one active social link on your profile.

5. Your access is a licence, not a right

5.1 Your access to Zeeën is a personal, limited, revocable, and non-transferable licence. It is not a right or an entitlement.

5.2 We may refuse to provide, and may withdraw, suspend, limit, or terminate access to the Services or any feature, for any user, at our discretion. We are under no obligation to give reasons, except where the law requires otherwise.

6. Acceptable use and community standards

6.1 You must comply with these Terms, the Acceptable Use Policy, and the Community Guidelines. You must not use Zeeën to harass, stalk, impersonate, scam, distribute illegal content, sexualise or seek contact with a minor, evade bans, or otherwise misuse the Services or put other users at risk. These lists are not exhaustive.

7. Safety tools and reporting

7.1 Zeeën provides block and report tools and an Invisible Mode that lets you stop being discoverable at any time. You agree to use these tools responsibly and to give truthful report information.

7.2 Profile images are reviewed before they appear, and profiles are screened against a prohibited-words list. We assess reports under our Trust and Safety Policy and act on conduct that occurs on Zeeën.

8. Off-platform interactions

8.1 Zeeën does not host messaging. If you choose to interact on third-party platforms after discovery on Zeeën, you do so at your own discretion and risk.

9. Your content: licence to operate the Services

9.1 By adding content (for example your display name, photo, bio, and social links) you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, and display that content for the purpose of operating, maintaining, and improving the Services. You confirm you have the rights to the content you add.

9.2 This clause covers only running the Services. Use of your content in marketing is dealt with separately in clause 10 and requires your opt-in.

10. Marketing and promotional use

10.1 We will only use content that identifies you (for example your name, photo, or profile) in marketing, advertising, press, or investor materials if you have given prior opt-in consent for that use.

10.2 We will never use the image, profile, or identifiable content of a user under 18 in any marketing, advertising, press, or investor material, regardless of any consent.

10.3 You can withdraw your marketing consent at any time through the in-app control. On withdrawal we stop new promotional uses within a reasonable period. Copies already published or distributed may persist.

10.5 We may use aggregated or de-identified material that does not identify any individual without consent. We do not sell your personal data.

11. Suspension and termination

11.1 We may suspend or terminate your account or access, with or without notice, where we reasonably suspect, on the information available to us, a breach of these Terms or our policies, a risk to other users or to Zeeën, or that continued access may harm the Services or community, whether or not the conduct is ultimately proven.

11.2 Where there is a safety risk, and in particular any risk involving a minor, we may act immediately and without notice, including preserving evidence and referring matters to authorities where required.

11.3 A decision to suspend or terminate is at our discretion and is final. These Terms do not create a right of appeal. This does not limit any rights you have under laws that cannot be excluded (see clauses 19 to 21).

11.4 On suspension or termination your access ends or is limited, you must not create a new account to get around the action, and we may retain or delete your data per our Privacy Policy and any legal obligation.

12. Account deletion

12.1 You can request account deletion through the in-app help centre or by emailing governance@zeeen.app. On a valid request we disable discoverability immediately and delete your personal data within 30 days, subject to legal or security retention duties, as set out in our Privacy Policy and Data Deletion page.

13. Privacy

13.1 Our Privacy Policy explains how we process personal data. By using the Services you acknowledge that processing.

14. Paid features and subscriptions

14.1 Paid features bought on iOS are processed through Apple In-App Purchase, and on Android through Google Play billing, unless an approved exception applies.

14.2 Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. Price, billing period, renewal, and cancellation are shown before purchase and managed through your Apple or Google account settings.

14.3 Deleting your account does not automatically cancel an Apple or Google subscription. Refunds are handled as set out in clause 20 and the country schedules.

15. Availability and changes

15.1 We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Services at any time, where permitted by law.

16. Disclaimers

16.1 To the extent permitted by law, the Services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. Zeeën reflects moments of proximity between users who choose to be visible. We do not verify user identity, behaviour, or intent, and do not guarantee social outcomes.

17. Limitation of liability

17.1 To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Services.

17.2 Nothing in this clause limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law (see clauses 19 to 21).

18. Indemnity

18.1 To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your misuse of the Services or your breach of these Terms. This does not apply to the extent a loss is caused by us or cannot be excluded by law.

19. Governing law and jurisdiction

19.1 These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, and the courts of Singapore have non-exclusive jurisdiction, subject to clause 20 and the country schedules in clause 21.

20. Local mandatory law prevails

20.1 Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantee, right, or remedy you have under a law that cannot lawfully be excluded in your country. Where local law gives you rights that conflict with these Terms, those rights apply to the extent of the conflict.

21. Country schedules

These apply in addition to the clauses above for users in the countries listed and prevail to the extent of any conflict.

Singapore

If you are a consumer, the Consumer Protection (Fair Trading) Act and other Singapore laws that cannot be excluded continue to apply, and personal data is handled under the Personal Data Protection Act 2012.

Australia

Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law, and nothing in these Terms excludes those rights. Zeeën takes reasonable steps to prevent users under 18 from holding an account, consistent with the Online Safety Act and Social Media Minimum Age obligations. Personal data is handled under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

New Zealand

For consumers, the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and the Fair Trading Act 1986 apply and cannot be contracted out of for personal use. Personal data is handled under the Privacy Act 2020.

United States

Zeeën does not knowingly permit users under 18, and we comply with COPPA and applicable state age-assurance laws. California residents: see the CCPA and CPRA disclosures in our Privacy Policy.

22. General

22.1 No waiver, reservation of rights, and severability apply: failure to enforce a term is not a waiver, rights not granted are reserved, and an unenforceable term does not affect the rest.

22.2 We may update these Terms and will post changes with an updated date. For material changes we will notify you in-app or by email before they take effect.
